Pictures of Dead Birds Needed
The working title for my master's thesis photo project is 3 Billion Gone, which references a recent Cornell study that indicates that since 1970, there are nearly 3 billion fewer birds on the planet today.
My project attempts to illustrate this loss. I want to collect pictures of 3,000 dead birds to create a montage display. So I need your help. Any bird, anytime, anywhere.
E-mail me photos of dead birds that you have come across. Please include the city/state/country. A few things to consider: 1) photos, not the birds themselves, 2) the image doesn't need to be pretty, a snapshot with your phone is sufficient, 3) one bird per photo, 4) photos that you have made - that you own the copyright, 5) the image can be from your archive, doesn't need to be recent, and 6) choosing to contribute, you agree to allow me to display your photo to illustrate this idea publicly. Your work will not be sold or used for any commercial purposes.
